Yard pathways
- Coming around the back of the house
- Closer look at the pattern
- Looking from the front porch as the pathway expands around the house

Its the last day of month 9 – here is how the house looks!
- This is the last work day of the month and they worked late last night so they took off a little early and are playing soccer when I took these.
- Front door is installed now – what do you think? It is solid Oak, Seiki.
- It is a little hard to see but the front door is 6 cm thick or almost 2 1/2 inches thick.
- The counter additions seem to be about done on the outdoor kitchen.
- Looking just outside of the kitchen toward the front door.
- Window and door in the laundry room is in and you can see a bit of the sink on the left.
- A look at the Master bath from just inside the doorway.
- The entrance to the Master Bath
- The hallway to Dave’s office is getting a second coat of paint it seems.
- From the doorway of the breakfast room looking out at the kitchen to the doors to the outdoor kitchen.
- Outside the breakfast room – no that is not a dog house, it is for propane tanks.
- The area they are building is for more propane tanks and the hot water.
- Back porch with the window over the tub in the Master bath.
- Windows installed in the bodega.
- This is what they worked on late last night. They built the septic tank. Looks like the system is close to being complete.
- That chipping away there you see is to add some water taps to the outside of the house.
- Next month the house should be complete.
- Maya Angelo finished the breakfast room – look…BIRDS too. I will save the story as to the meaning of those birds for another day… The picture doesn’t show it as good as it looks.

Happy Birthday sis – love you!!
This post covers only 8 days of work from 5.14 – 5.23 – they are moving fast for sure. Still we are told a June move in date, hoping so!!
- Outdoor kitchen – Bread Oven (Pan Horno) is really coming along. To the far left you can see a little of the door that is being set to enter the house.
- Breakfast room windows are now set and the woodwork is being finished.
- Laundry room – window and door are set and on the far right you can see the door to enter this room from the house.
- Master Bathroom – floor now in needs grouting yet
- Door leading out to the outdoor kitchen
- Guest bath door is in.
- A look from the outside at the breakfast room
- Tile on the front porch is starting – oh and the benches are tiled now – didn’t know about that.
- The breakfast room is now tiled – just a little grouting left to do.
- Outdoor kitchen oven is just about done. Looks like we are getting a little more counter space added to the right of the Oven.
- Tile work is almost finished in the Master…What is that little different tile in the middle of that? Lets look closer..
- Well, the tile is one we brought back from Provence France.
- Looks like another tile from Provence is in this one in the Master bath
- A little wider look at how the bathroom is coming along.
- Now the toilet area has two new tiles… lets look at them closer..
- Oh these are two tiles we brought back from Cordoba Spain. We didn’t know where he was going to place the various tiles – looks like we are finding out now
- Front door you can see the star there on the floor and all the way through to the outdoor kitchen.
- Almost all the beams in the eves are finished now.
- Back porch, to the left is the window over the master bath.
- A look from the street – the details are really taking shape.
- Tile work on the front porch/entry
- Putting some of our tiles in around the indoor patio. Those look like ones we brought back from Cordoba Spain.
- Pantry is tiled now. Notice that wall on the right that looks like it is bowed? Well it is, that is why it looks like that. Ramiro has done interesting things through out the house that it seems to take time to see and notice.
- Living room – looks like they decided to place a tile on the fireplace. At least that is what I think is going on.
- Outdoor kitchen continues. It has a bit more counter space, although it is hard to see in this picture, they added a counter to the right of the bread oven
- You are right, these are bricks made out of Himalayan Salt. Hmmmm, what could they be for?
- Actually they are going to be a little wall right here in this space. The reason I know is they had it built about a third of the way, but were using white caulk to build it. Ramiro had them take it out and use transparent
- Master bath – counter-top is in now.
- Looks like tile work on the front porch from here – need to check it out.
- Oh what is this – something by the Dreamworks logo…
- Why it is the numbers to the house from Italy.
- A view from the front door. They have the outdoor bread/pizza oven just a rocking. Down the hall to the master you can see the Salt brick wall, but a more closer look at that later.
- Indoor patio has some tiles on the wall now
- Not to bad most of those are from Italy. The one on the right side by itself is from Rome.
- The tiles from Cordoba are in and painted. It doesn’t really show up in this picture but the center of the patio floor is a tile from Cordoba Spain too
- Living room – what is that on the fireplace..
- Oh they put a tile from Cartagena Spain on the fireplace.
- Our Himalayan Salt Wall is complete. Yes those bricks are 100% Himalayan Salt. This is from the hallway going to the Master bedroom.
- Although this looks amazingly similar to the last picture it is from inside the Master bedroom.
