Have you ever had this recipe the same way, anywhere? I doubt it. It seems to be one of those things that a made a variety of ways. I think the American versions are the worst. We seem to always over complicate things. This, from my view, is about as simple as it can get. To me it is one of those dishes that makes you smile and taste each ingredient separately in each mouthful. I have your mouth watering now don’t I. Take your time with this simple dish and use fresh ingredients and it will amaze you.
