Wild mushrooms, sobrasada sausages and figs

Sobrasada Sausage:

The principle ingredient is pork with the predominant spice being Paprika. There are two principle types of Sobrasada, Dolc (sweet), and coent hot (with cayenne). If you see a Red string on one it is sweet, a Red and White string is on the Hot sausage. A couple notes about the history of the Sobrasada Sausage… After the centuries of Muslims ruled the area, when pork was banned, Mallorca quickly returned to pork consumption, with the key ingredient paprika added after the discovery of America in the 15th century.

Robellon Mushrooms:
commonly known as the Saffron milk cap, Red pine mushroom, is one of the best known members of the large milk-cap genus Lactarius in the order Russulales. It is found in Europe and North America and has been accidentally introduced to other countries under conifers and can be found growing in pine plantations.

Majorcan Bread:
Coca, the popular flat bread of the Balearic Islands and Catalonia, comes in a variety of shapes — rectangle, square, oval, round — and with countless toppings, such as caramelized onions and anchovy, greens seasoned with ham, and small dollops of fresh cheese. In the past, this dough was made with lard, but nowadays olive oil is more common.
